This role is expected to utilize technical accounting expertise to support revenue processes, including collaborating with business functions to provide valuable information for critical decision making.This role will support the monthly accounting cycle close process, including review of revenue transactions for appropriate revenue treatment, support external and internal audit, and lead various process improvements and system transformation initiatives.This is a great opportunity to join a Fortune 150 company for professionals with strong public accounting and/or corporate experience in revenue and technical accounting. This role provides a great pathway for those who want to grow their finance careers in a large, dynamic environment which offers career development opportunities through challenging assignments and job rotation opportunities.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in monthly and quarterly close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of footnote disclosuresSupport revenue contract review process, perform technical accounting research, and provide accounting guidance to business partnersManage the calculation of revenue program offerings and oversee the claims processManage customer return activities and product service issuesCollaborate with business stakeholders in the development of analytics and revenue reportingPartner with cross-functional business partners to support special projects including automation and system implementation to enhance operational efficienciesEnsure revenue related internal controls are performed and documented appropriatelyAbout YouExcellent in interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbalStrong accounting and analytical skills, including the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problemsTeam player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizationsPassionate for innovation and continuous improvement of systems and processesWhat Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related disciplineCPA, Big 4 experience preferredMinimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and revenue roles in high tech or similar industriesStrong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606Experience working with SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite; particularly ExcelAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
