Senior Accountant - Hybrid Remote - K

Immediate need for a Senior Accountant to join a  Project-Based energy company in Tucker, GA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Controller by overseeing the revenue recognition process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and various corporate accounting matters.
Essential Functions: Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package and related schedules for submission to Corporate. Review job performance for the month, proposing revenue accruals as necessary during the month-end close process for operating units. Provide variance analysis and narratives for balance sheet and income statement accounts on a quarterly basis. Reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts monthly and prepare various journal entries for month-end close. Collaborate with external auditors to prepare for, conduct, and complete audits, addressing issues and accounting interpretation matters related to GAAP. Make recommendations for alternative procedures and improvements to financial reporting processes. Ensure internal control compliance in areas of responsibility, including developing and documenting related processes and controls. Prepare and submit workers comp reports. Assist in compiling the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and supporting schedules. Assist in uploading annual budget and reforecasts into the ERP system. Technical Skills: Considerable knowledge of internal control procedures and management information systems. Working knowledge of office automation and computerized financial applications. Considerable knowledge of accounting and reporting systems. Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports. Ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems and procedures. Compensation: Up to $95,000 base salary plus a 10% bonus. 15 PTO days. Work Environment: Hybrid remote work environment with 3 days per week in the office.
