Senior Accountant
Summary
This seasoned accounting professional must be an independent thinker who is comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Must be process driven and customer service oriented. This position is located at our Belleville NJ plant. The position is a salaried exempt role with quarterly discretionary bonus.
Responsibilities
A/R responsibilities - Process daily entry of receiving vendor bills or credit card transactions against Purchase Orders
Invoicing responsibilities- Prepare and Monitor invoices and inquiries from vendors.
Post applicable payment activity in general ledger system (NetSuite)
Support frequent accounts payable payment processing.
Interact daily with vendors by telephone, email or walk-in customers, requesting vendor bills, providing payment status or paying invoices
Complete vendor credit applications
Request, scan, log and file vendor W-9's and Certificates of Insurance when required.
Reconcile vendor statements and communicate payment position to vendors accordingly.
Assist with processing of employee expense reports.
Assist in Quarterly Tax Payments
Assist with month end responsibilities, audits and other projects.
Other duties will include but not be limited to typing, data entry, scanning, copying, faxing, as well as support in other accounting roles such as invoice confirmation and maintenance of Galleher's electronic files.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Min 4 years of prior successful experience in a high-volume corporate accounting role, including but not limited to: collections, accounts

payable/receivable.
Demonstrated skills in executing daily finance department functions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF editor must demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize data from multiple sources.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize.
Ability to work well with others, particularly working closely with sales and the remote financial team.
Must be self-motivated, a self-starter and needs little supervision.
Strong written and oral communication skills, necessary for continuous interaction with fellow employees, customers, and vendors

Desired Skills
NetSuite experience
Some College or associate degree within accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience, strong attention to detail in financial processes.
