We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Scientist, Technical Operations who thrives in a problem-solving oriented position to join our Operations Group. Key responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to continuously enhance customer experience with assay performance via improvements to our development and manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do: Apply technical knowledge of immunoassays, laboratory skills, creative thinking and aptitude towards instrumentation to troubleshoot assay issues in manufacturing and escalated cases from customers using assay kitsLead investigations in how to correct component or assay issues, primarily through formulation optimizationWork closely with Technical Support to help resolve customer issues that require in-depth experimental investigation.Lead collaborations with Manufacturing, Assay Development Engineering, and Quality Control groups to resolve complex issuesTrain, shadow, and support Manufacturing and Quality Control operationsServe as technical mentor and project leader within the Assay Technical Support groupGenerate high quality data under tight deadlinesLead projects to implement process improvements in manufacturingWhat We'll Expect From You:? BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Science5- 7 years of industry experience in immunoassay development, life science, biotechnology, or IVD markets. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered.Experience in immunoassay product development strongly desired, including: reagent development and optimization, assay protocol optimization, migration of manual assays to automated instrumentation, specifications development, statistical methods, verification and validation protocol writing and execution, conformance with design control regulationsFormal training in and/or exposure to Lean/Six Sigma principles desired, but not requiredExperience with statistical analysis software, like JMP or MiniTab desired but not requiredExperience with materials and process development a plusKnowledge of chemistry and raw materials a plusExperience with process improvements and formal change management systems a plusMust be detail oriented with excellent organizational, record keeping, and communication skillsComfortable in fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities between active troubleshooting and big picture activitiesStrong work ethicAbility to collaborate cross-functionallyMust be proactiveMust be able to lead projects and train/mentor junior members of the Assay Technical Support groupWhy You'll Like Working For Us: Our Technology:?Quanterix' technology is designed to enable much earlier disease detection, better prognoses and enhanced treatment methods to improve the quality of life and longevity of the population for generations to come.
