Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychological assessments using standardized tools and culturally relevant methods to evaluate students cognitive academic social and emotional capabilities.
Collaborate with educators parents and fellow professionals to craft Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies for students with diverse needs.
Offer counseling and crisis intervention to students facing social emotional or behavioral hurdles integrating culturally sensitive approaches.
Act as a resource for school staff on matters related to multiculturalism diversity and bilingual education delivering training and consultation as necessary.
Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress exchange insights and develop comprehensive support frameworks.
Maintain precise and confidential records of assessment outcomes counseling sessions and intervention plans ensuring adherence to state and federal guidelines.
Cultivate positive relationships with students families and the wider school community fostering an environment of inclusivity equity and mutual respect.
Requirements To qualify you must possess a valid School Psychology license in Illinois and hold a Masters Degree in School or Educational Psychology. Additionally you should either currently hold or be eligible to apply for an endorsement in School Psychology. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is essential as assessments and counseling services will be conducted in both languages.
