Position: Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: Fully remote, with occasional coordination with our headquarters in Salem, Oregon.
Reports to: Manager, Sales Development
Overview:
Are you looking to start a career in software sales? As an SDR, you'll learn essential skills for a successful career in software sales or other customer-facing roles. You'll be the first point of contact in generating new business opportunities, playing a critical role in our growth both in the US and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Actively seek out new business opportunities through various channels
Prospect and generate leads within the food industry
Research companies to identify opportunities and strategize approaches for SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise spaces
Collaborate with Account Executives to develop target strategies and messaging
Follow up with leads promptly and effectively
Conduct significant outbound activities via targeted cold-calling and emailing
Meet and exceed monthly quotas to support team goals
Develop clear and concise communication with prospects
Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate with our growing team
Continuously seek opportunities for learning, growth, and feedback
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience prospecting and selling software in new markets
Highly organized and process-oriented
Proficient in using technology for research and prospecting (e.g., LinkedIn, Zoominfo, Salesloft)
Fearless and persistent attitude
Ability to build credibility with potential buyers quickly
Effective teamwork within the Sales Team
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Capable of working productively in a remote environment
Education and Experience
Four-year college degree preferred
At least 1 year of experience in software sales
