Responsibilities
• Acknowledge, greet, and help customers in any area of the store.• Assist customers/donors by answering questions or directing them to a supervisor.• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions and balance all point of sale (POS) transactions.• Communicate through standard telephone and wireless audio systems.• Merchandise, restock, and provide general floor maintenance.• Maintain a clean work environment.• Support team members, supervisors, and leads when necessary.• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.• Demonstrate safe work practices and report any potential hazards or accidents.
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalency preferred.• No experience required.• Ability to learn new technology and software.• Physical abilities include lifting up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods.• Essential mental/sensory abilities include organizing, problem-solving, and effective communication.• Work environment is in a retail store with varied temperature, loud noises, occasional crowds, and exposure to dust.
