A Roll-Off Driver safely operates a heavy-duty truck and is responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting large mobile open top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycle facilities and customer locations. Roll-Off Drivers will navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job. This position is a full-time position with weekend work required. Your Role: Operates vehicles in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws. Performs pre- and post- trip inspections of assigned vehicle and completes required paperwork. Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of any customer complaints, incidents, onsite service issue or potential safety hazards. Communicates customer requests to Route Manager or Dispatch. Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement. Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. Your Skills: Customer focused. Safety knowledgeable and focused Professional in appearance and demeanor Respectful of Company vehicles and equipment Quality oriented Reliable and dependable Able to adapt to changing work requirements on a daily/hourly basis. Exceptional driving skills Ability to read and write logs, reports, orders, maps. Etc. Requirements : Commercial Driver's License B (CDL). Commercial Drivers License Class A or B with an air brake endorsement is a plus. The CDL is a requirement, therefore, an applicant must be 21 years of age. Acceptable driving record. Successfully Complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review.
