Responsibilities
• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents• Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care• Care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment• Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, provide resident education, and implement nursing interventions• May serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to assistive personnel• Provide support to delegates to ensure safe administration of resident care• Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice
Requirements
• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred• Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing• Obtain and maintain required department specific competencies and certifications
