Title: Restoration Technician FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Norwalk, CT
Pay Rate: Hourly Rate (Depends on Experience)

The Restoration technician performs production processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment, as well as an assigned service vehicle. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the Restoration technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry. Please Note: Our office is a Pet Friendly Office, there are occasionally dogs in our office!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Responsibility and Support 1. Perform production processes, demolition and other labor intensive tasks;
a. Perform fire, water, and mold damage restoration, extracting standing water, demolition, set-up and take down equipment.
2. Prepare rooms/areas for work activities;
a. Set up staging area and containment for each project.
3. Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
4. Communicate with restoration supervisor, other technicians, project manager, officeand management personnel to maintain efficient production processes.
5. Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed foreach project.
6. Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown.
a. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
7. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.

Other ad-hoc duties assigned and requested by management. Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies: Effective communication with basic math and computer skills; preferred IICRC certifications; preferred Valid driver's license; required Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics) Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects. Ability to work with/around cleaning products. Ability to travel locally and out-of-state when necessary. Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law. Previous experience cleaning, restoration, general labor or construction industry; preferred Ability to respond appropriately and interact positively with customers. Must have a professional appearance and great attitude. Capable to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Bilingual – English/Spanish, a plus EDUCATION • High school diploma/GED; required

Not eligible for office, hybrid or remote. Ability to commute: Norwalk, CT 06851: Reliably commute to office/warehouse location (Required)
Physical Demands: Work is performed in the field on jobsites; commercial, and residential properties and requires the ability to operate standard equipment. Work that includes moving objects between 50-100 pounds may be required.
