Responsibilities
• Perform real property appraisals with high degree of accuracy• Estimate market value of residential properties using mass appraisal statistical and analytical practices• Work independently with good work ethics• Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills• Conduct background checks and driving record checks• Maintain continued education requirements• Obtain Appraisal Certification and National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices Certification• Perform duties in both outside environment and office setting• Lift up to 50 lbs and negotiate uneven surfaces• Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes
Requirements
• Residential Appraiser/Analyst I: 2 years of college and High School Diploma• Preferred: Bilingual, construction, appraisal, cost estimating, real estate, or legal description experience• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background and driving record checks• Acquire Washington State Appraisal Certification within 1 year of employment• Acquire National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices Certification within 2 years of employment• Must maintain continued education requirements and be bondable• Residential Appraiser/Analyst II: High School Diploma, 2 years of college, 3 years' experience as a Washington State Accredited Appraiser• Preferred: Bilingual, construction, appraisal, cost estimating, real estate, or legal description experience• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background and driving record checks• Must have Washington State Appraisal Certification and National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices Certification• Must maintain continued education requirements and be bondable
