The residency program administrator for the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is responsible for the operational management of the department's accredited residency and fellowship training programs. Currently responsible for 4 fellows and 4 residents, this complement of residents will be growing over the next couple of years. The department also accepts rotators from outside institutions. This position will work closely with both the Program Director and Associate Program Director for ongoing management of the programs as well as process improvement and policy development. This position will liaise with the Office of Graduate Medical Education and department administration.
The ideal candidate will have some understanding of national residency accreditation policies, Montefiore hospital policies and will possess a high degree of initiative and independent judgment. Requirements/Qualifications : At least 3 years of work experience required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred, however, 5+ years of appropriate and equivalent work experience would suffice.
