Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Project Coordinator I for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. We are looking for a researcher to supervise 2-5 field technicians and run the logistics of a large USDA -funded field research project focused on forestry and native bee species in New England. The goal of the funded project is to determine how northeastern forests can be managed to support spring fruit crop pollinators and other bee species that use forests.
Among the key duties of the position are the following: Facilitates data collection and coordinate bee sampling across 5 states in New England. Following data collection, the researcher would lead data curation and analysis, including the processing of bee and pollen specimens from field projects. Specialized expertise in pollen metabarcoding and bee taxonomy is required. Minimum Education and Experience: A master's degree in ecology or related field such as entomology, natural resources, or organismal biology is required. City: New Brunswick

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Requires physical ability to walk carrying equipment to work at remote forested field sites; stamina for long hours outdoors at times in inclement weather; ability to travel using personal vehicle throughout northeastern states. Must be able to stand for long periods. Salary: Max salary - $74,580 (contingent upon experience).
