Responsibilities
• Collects patient symptoms and history to assess and evaluate care plans• Performs triage and manages basic life support needs• Assists physicians during exams, testing, and treatments• Administers prescribed medications and provides IV therapy• Provides wound care, bedside care, and educates patients on managing their illness/injury• Maintains supplies and reports suspected abuse• Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff• Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety guidelines and regulations• Works well in a team and exhibits excellent problem-solving and organizational skills• Works under pressure, meets deadlines, and provides exemplary customer service
Requirements
• 1(+) years experience in the Emergency Department• 3(+) years experience in patient charting/medical record documentation• Associate, bachelor, or master's degree in nursing• Current RN licensure from the Mississippi Board of Nursing• Certifications in BLS/CPR required, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred
