Organization & Position Summary: The Arc Minnesota promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, actively supporting them and their families in a lifetime of full inclusion and participation in their communities.
The Regional Quality Council Coordinator is responsible for leading and supporting a Regional Quality Council (RQC) and its work groups, in creating systems and social change in the lives of people with disabilities. The coordinator will work with the Regional Quality Council to meet the goals of a Department of Human Services contract. This position will:
Respond to issues that impact people with disabilities in the region Engage in transformational systems and social change efforts Align with the disability justice movement, being led by people with disabilities Promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in Minnesota Compensation & Benefits: Generous time off policies Remote work options and flexible schedules, because we understand the importance of your life OUTSIDE of the workplace Competitive salary, starting at $50,000.00 Annually The Arc Minnesota offers health insurance through Blue Cross / Blue Shield with an employer funded Health Savings Account (HSA), Eligibility depending on plan design Dental insurance for single coverage and family coverage The opportunity to make a difference in YOUR community & and in the lives of Minnesotans with Intellectual and Development Disabilities Major Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Regional Quality Council (RQC) to identify and set priorities for the region. Develop a work plan that meets contract deliverables and promotes best practices in human rights, self-direction, equity, and belonging. Recruit and onboard new Council members from various stakeholders, including self-advocates, family members, and community groups. Collect and analyze data to understand the needs of the region and assess service quality for people with disabilities. Work with the Regional Quality Council (RQC) to develop and implement quality improvement projects. Represent The Arc Minnesota at community events and on related committees. Expand the diversity of RQC membership by engaging with diverse communities across the region. Assist with the development of a bi-annual report for legislative committees and other required reporting tasks. Supervise, coach, and provide performance management support for the RQC Associate and volunteers. Qualifications: BA/BS in human services or related field preferred, but not required. 1+ Years human services experience preferred. Lived experience working with people with disabilities required. Strong administrative skills. Listening, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with and have respect for people of all backgrounds. Demonstrate positivity, commitment, and self-motivation. Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary collaborations. Ability to lead a diverse group of people. Knowledge of federal, state, and local disability systems services.
