The receptionist team leader is responsible for supervising and directing the patient services or office staff in various areasThey should have moderate knowledge of insurance products and be familiar with frequently used insurance companiesThe role involves managing the reception of patients, coordinating schedules, and resolving member issues

Responsibilities
• Supervise and direct the patient services or office staff in reception, scheduling, patient checkout, and chart checking areas• Ensure appropriate scheduling of visits and testing to meet patient and physician needs• Manage the daily resource schedules and communicate with physicians, nursing team leader, and clinic coordinator• Perform short-term maintenance to manage resource schedules and resolve member issues• Facilitate a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients• Perform regular duties of the receptionist position if needed• Perform, arrange, and assist in orientation and training of the patient services/reception employees• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, perform evaluations, and counsel employees when needed• Maintain adequate staff coverage and compliance with policies and procedures• Act as a liaison between front office employees, physicians, Clinic Coordinator, and team leaders
Requirements
• High school diploma required, college education preferred• Good communication and organizational skills required• Computer skills required• Knowledge of insurance products desired• Previous management experience preferred• Minimum of two years in healthcare-related field desired
