Continental Properties is looking for a driven and results-oriented individual to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Real Estate Attorney at our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
This position offers sophisticated, complex and challenging legal work in a suburban Milwaukee environment but with a national reach. You will partner with company dealmakers to lead project teams in the facilitation of a wide variety of activities associated with multifamily real estate development transactions. You will oversee transactions from initial letter of intent inception through purchase, financing, development, stabilization and refinancing or sale. You will help lead a highly functioning development company into the future!

Essential Responsibilities: Drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, construction contracts, reciprocal easement agreements, joint venture agreements and municipal development agreements Oversight of outside counsel in construction financing, refinancing, and other matters Designing deal structure in cooperation with team dealmaker and finance Creative problem solving to mitigate or minimize company risk while facilitating development transactions Oversight of title and survey review, including detailed analysis of Declarations/REAs/OEAs/ECCRs that may affect proposed development Commitment to identifying and illuminating areas of critical risk Advising company executives on legal risks Skills for Success: Juris Doctorate and admission to any state bar Minimum of four years' experience as a real estate transaction attorney; large law firm experience preferred Purchase/sale financing and leasing experience preferred What Sets Us Apart: Continental Properties is a great place to work, as evidenced by our consecutive Top Workplace awards.
