Responsibilities
• Properly records entries on Radiology and Hospital Information System.• Receives and interprets requests and/or instructions for radiological procedures.• Operates computer and radiological equipment for image production and documentation.• Performs quality control measures to ensure optimal quality of images.• Follows professional code of ethics in all aspects of practice.• Assists with maintenance and cleaning of equipment.• Performs clerical duties related to scheduling of radiological procedures.• Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.• Attend and participate in in-service education programs as directed or scheduled.• Maintains confidentiality in matters related to patient, family and facility staff
Requirements
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required)• Must maintain licensure in State of Mississippi as a Medical Radiation technologist (Required)• Must complete 24 hours of continuing education as approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist every 2 years• Proficient in CT scanning (preferred)• High School Diploma or GED (Required)• Certification and/or diploma from an accredited school of Radiologic Technologists (Required)
