Under moderate supervision, the Radiological Technologist I will perform radiographic procedures.Emphasis on patient care and technical abilities to complete requested exams promptly.Responsiveness in using radiation safety principles for patient and staff safety.

Responsibilities
• Perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.• Demonstrate a professional approach in work, with emphasis on patient care.• Complete requested exams promptly while maintaining patient safety.• Use proper radiation safety principles for patient and staff safety.• Serve patients ranging from infant to adult-geriatric.• Extend the mission and values of Baltimore Washington Medical Center.• Dedicate oneself to providing the highest quality healthcare services.• Work under the direction of the Radiology Director and Medical Director.• Follow imaging protocols necessary to obtain desired results.• Monitor schedule and ensure timely completion of exams.
Requirements
• High School degree or equivalent required.• Graduation from an approved and accredited radiologic educational program required.• Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists required.• License as a Radiological Technologist in the state of Maryland required.• Current BLS certification required.• Work on rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.• May be required to rotate on-call duties for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.• Practice established radiation safety principles.• May be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.• Completion of annual respirator mask fitting required.
