BCForward is looking for Quality Standards Engineer at Devens MA 01434 Position : Quality Standards Engineer Location: Devens, MA 01434 Expected Duration: 3+ Months Job Type: Contract To hire/ Onsite Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr on W2 Position Summary: As a Quality Standards Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development, modification, application, and maintenance of quality standards for products and processes. Your responsibilities will include providing diverse and complex statistical information for quality improvement, guiding technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved. Responsibilities: Assess quality performance using statistical and analytical methods. Devise and implement various complex methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products, processes, and production equipment. Develop and establish advanced quality systems and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates, and technical quality plans. Provide input on quality to product development teams and recommend producibility improvements. Identify quality performance, trends, and corrective actions by coordinating with customers and suppliers. Design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment and conduct quality assurance tests. Develop statistical process controls and analyze data. Prepare comprehensive reports by collecting, interpreting, analyzing, and summarizing data and making recommendations. Act as a member of the Material Review Board and participate in related activities, failure analysis, and corrective action investigations. Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Represent the company by interfacing with customers and regulatory agencies and assisting with internal and external audits. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in other professional associations. Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements. Provide leadership to others in the department and contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering. Six or more years of related experience. American Society for Quality certification desired. Knowledge of aerospace industry or similar industry products and legal and regulatory requirements related to the field. Ability to effectively assess and implement continuous improvement techniques. Proficiency in standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity. Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects. Proficiency in project management skills and project scheduling software. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrated team player with competency in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
