Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant Location Sumner, WA : Job Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Purchasing Assistant. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing department by assisting with inventory control, supply chain management, and sourcing of materials. Duties:- Assist with the procurement of materials and supplies needed for production- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules- Process purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities- Utilize software systems for purchasing activities- Support the purchasing manager in various administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:- Previous experience in purchasing/sourcing in a manufacturing environment required- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping- Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams- Experienced Microsoft Office user, with proficiency in Excel- AAS/BS in related field preferred- ERP experience preferred
