Compensation The successful candidate(s) will be offered a base rate based on post-licensure experience.
The starting hourly rate for newly-licensed registered nurses is $33.00. The exact starting rate for RNs at DBH is calculated using the starting rate + 1% per year for each year of post-licensure experience up to 10 years and an additional 1% for each additional 3 years thereafter. The starting hourly rate for newly-licensed Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) is $26.75 per hour with the same credited service as described above. The part-time/PRN nurses will be compensated at their base rate for the guaranteed 16 hours each week. If scheduled to provide coverage beyond the 16 hours, the following pay rates are in place:
PRN Rate A nurse hired to work in a PRN capacity will receive a 15% adjustment to the base rate agreed upon at hire for all PRN shifts where he/she is given at least 24 hours of notice before the shift.
For example, a registered nurse hired at a base hourly rate of $33 would receive a PRN rate of $37.95 per hour.
Emergency Rate A PRN nurse called in to cover a shift with less than 24 hours of notice will be compensated at 1 ½ times their PRN rate.
For example, a registered nurse hired at a base hourly rate of $33 would receive an emergency rate of $56.93 per hour.
The emergency rate is used as a last resort and requires executive management approval.
