Responsibilities
• Completing engineering and project management assignments on small, medium and large capital projects• Ensuring timely completion of quality projects with regard to budget and standards• Developing project schedules and cost estimates• Providing engineering assistance, direction, and development assistance• Resolving various complex problems related to projects• Troubleshooting and updating report data for business unit(s)• Conceptualizing, designing, and starting up projects to support and optimize unit operation• Maintaining compliance with Environmental and Safety Standards• Demonstrating awareness of safety concerns and incorporating them in the basis of design
Requirements
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field• 5+ years work experience in a Petroleum Refinery or Petrochemical Plant• 5+ years experience in project engineering• Experienced with managing and leveraging contract engineering• Conversant with ASME and API codes and standards• Familiar with pressure vessel and piping design and/or installation• Experienced in project controls and technical drawing review• Good interpersonal skills• Experience managing small to mid-sized projects• Experience working with vendors on equipment selection and purchase• Experience in construction management including quote development, bid reviews, and contract adherence
