What You Will Do Gannett Fleming is a leading architectural, engineering and construction management company that serves the pharmaceutical and industrial manufacturing business sectors.? We are looking to hire an energetic, self-motivated, and innovative Project Manager in our Raleigh, NC office.?
The successful candidate shall possess the skills required to successfully develop and execute project tasks and deliverables, be a collaborative team player, and have a strong drive to amaze our customers. The candidate will possess the knowledge and skills to direct project team in performing engineering calculations, developing construction documents-drawings and specifications.? Coordinate the work of with all disciplines and can direct and review the work of engineers and designers. Project sizes will vary and will consist primarily of biopharmaceutical and technology projects including both existing renovations / retrofits and new construction.?
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include a close interaction?with?BioPharm?Operations, Managers of Projects, and other discipline Department Leads.?
The successful candidate is expected to:?
Serve as technical leader to insure high standards of accuracy and quality. This leadership will be in all areas, including design, project review and employee growth and performance, assuring alignment between corporate goals and the employee's goals.? Ability to lead a team of architects, engineers and designers.? Perform construction administration functions, such as review submittals, answer RFIs and make field visits to verify the intent if design id being met.? Perform constructability and project quality reviews.? Take an active position in the marketing aspect of the corporation to promote new projects.? Support marketing presentations and proposal requests such as estimating man hours, employee resumes, and other activities in the sales and marketing efforts, including assisting in making formal marketing or sales presentations to prospective clients.?? Approximately 10% travel, primarily domestic.? BS in Chemical, Electrical, and/or?Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture is preferred.? 10+?years of experience?in biopharmaceutical, chemicals, food and beverage or other industrial manufacturing,?5?plus years of experience in a design firm setting minimum.? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.? Experienced in FDA, EMA, and other regulatory standards and requirements for processes requiring clean utilities.? Strong knowledge and application of cGMP design requirements.?? Proven ability to lead a project and to direct the process design effort.? Proven ability to prepare articles and to present at industry conferences.? Experience with MS Office products especially Word, Visio and Excel?
