Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet our customers' needs. The idea candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem solving skills, and a passion for delivering high quality software products.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Receive project assignments from Project Manager and/or Technical Lead
* Write PLC and HMI Application Software
* Configure AC and DC Drive Equipment
* Provide engineering detail to and work with internal drafting resources to develop drawings
* Report on project status and communicate technical issues
* Develop technical documentation and specifications
* Develop system test plan documents, simulation code, and perform system testing
* Coordinate with Project Management, Technical Leads, and/ or Customers to commission systems
Preferred Experience with the following Drive systems: ABB, Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Reliance Electric.
Qualifications:
* Engineering degree or equivalent experience in industrial automation
* Experience working with PLC, AC, & DC Drive systems, and HMI products
* Metals processing knowledge is strongly preferred
* Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in automation products, software and complimentary areas
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
* Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability o lead all phases of a project while managing critical milestones and customers
