Job Summary:
As a Program Supplier Quality Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of dedicated Supplier Quality Engineers. This pivotal role focuses on proactive risk management and ensuring the highest standards of quality across our supply chain. You will use your expertise to implement effective quality control measures, engage in root cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that ensure alignment with our strategic objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers, overseeing their performance and developmental growth.
Translate complex customer requirements and company policies into clear, actionable quality performance standards.
Conduct rigorous supplier audits and assessments, ensuring suppliers meet and exceed our quality standards.
Drive the root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, enhancing product integrity and reliability.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues and achieve consistent compliance with quality assurance standards.
Serve as a key liaison between project teams and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and quality alignment.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and report on supplier performance.
Champion the integration of industry-leading quality practices and standards across our international operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in quality engineering, with a focus on supplier quality management in the aerospace/defense sector or a comparable high-regulation industry.
Familiarity with regulatory and standard requirements such as AS9100, ISO-9001, and military/defense specifications.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, ASQ, ISO 9001 Auditor preferred.
Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
Experience with international supplier relations and management.
