Responsibilities
• Plan and implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities• Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers• Maintain professional relationships with families and community• Maintain required records and budgets• Assist with developing and monitoring department budgets• Supervise and ensure health and safety of children• Purchase, prepare, and serve snacks• Attend staff meetings and trainings• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Three or more years of experience working with children• One or more years of supervisory experience• High school graduate or equivalent• 30 credits of college-level coursework• 21 years of age or older• Ability to model and demonstrate Y values• Experience planning and implementing group activities• Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations• 45 credits of college-level coursework preferred• Previous experience in school age care programs and summer day camps preferred
