Work Schedule :
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE day shift position. Shifts are scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:00PM, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Pay :

We are seeking a Program Instructor for our Ophthalmic Assistant Apprenticeship Program to:

Oversee and facilitate clinical and didactic education for registered apprentices. Ensure the program is developed and updated as needed to ensure compliance with the regulations set forth by the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology. Prepare students to be eligible to take the National Certification Examination for Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). Ensure that course and clinical laboratory exercises meet course objectives. Minimum - Completion of an education program for Ophthalmology Assistants.
Preferred - Completion of an accredited Ophthalmic/Optometric program and an Associate degree in science, healthcare, education, or other related field. Work Experience :
Minimum - Five (5) years of experience as Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
Preferred - Ten (10) years of experience and experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician COT, prior teaching experience or prior supervisory or coordinator experience. Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
