Ensure Practice safe work habits, including complying with all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations and company policies and procedures. Safely operate a forklift to load and/or unload materials and products. Inspect forklift daily before use and report any issues to your supervisor. Maintain good housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace, perform any assigned housekeeping tasks as requested. Report any accidents, injuries, illnesses, or near misses to supervisor immediately. Participate and engage fully in all training and educational opportunities in order to efficiently learn the job, perform the job safely and operate more independently in the position. Manage chemical waste according to site policy, area specific procedures and training. Wear proper PPE at at all times. Pump liquid chemicals into or from bulk trucks. Load and unload materials from box/other trucks. Package finished product in appropriate containers (pails, drums, totes, etc.) Assist the Production Operators in the safe and effective completion of daily production. Understand and be capable of the safe and proper usage of equipment and utilities required to package chemicals. Safely operate motors and pumps. Read gauges and meters – communicate the information observed and take appropriate action(s) as a result. Ensure inventory accuracy in accordance with established policies. Safely perform physical and administrative tasks associated with warehouse operations Conduct physical inspection and note any issues with received goods Reconcile incoming/outgoing materials against BOL/Packing slips Complete and share all required shipping and receiving paperwork, per procedures. Ensure items are staged/stored in correct, assigned location(s) and appropriate quality status stickers are applied as needed. Make deliveries throughout the plant Process returns and complete appropriate documentation. Responsible for organization and housekeeping of warehouse. Weigh, measure, and check finished goods. Collect samples of raw materials and finished products for laboratory testing. Problem solve and troubleshoot to ensure that root causes of issues are identified, and fast, effective action is taken to resolve any problems, in coordination with supervisor/management. Recommend changes to the operating process necessary to maintain product quality and participate in quality control initiatives. Report all issues/potential issues with product quality supervisor or other management immediately. Complete and/or deliver all required documentation related to production, logistics and quality as required, and in a timely manner. Responsible for routine housekeeping and maintenance as assigned. Inspect/monitor tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working order and immediately report equipment requiring maintenance to supervisor. Maintain a positive attitude and a team-based culture and work ethic to promote a healthy and safe working environment. Under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor or designee Skills Required In One (1) year of experience, in a chemical manufacturing environment. Experience with truck loading and unloading, including tanker trucks, preferred. One (1) year of forklift experience required. Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts and provide overtime coverage (including call-ins, weekends and holidays). Must be able to work independently and as a team member to meet company and departmental goals. Possess the ability to build positive relationships with coworkers at all levels, customers, suppliers, and the general public. Good communication and organizational skills required along with attention to detail. Ability to embrace change. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effective both orally and in writing. Good mathematical skills. Deadlines must be met and the ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time is key. Ability to seek out new methods/procedures and willing to incorporate into existing practices. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office & Excel. Must have forklift certification (will be provided by the company). Must have excellent command of the English language. Education/Training/Certifications Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, preferably with emphasis in either education or training (with focus on instructional analysis, design, development, implementation and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs), OR education/training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, implementation and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, and no less than 6 years of instructional analysis experience performed in the nuclear industry. Additional Requirements The physical demands and work environment described herein is a representative of those that generally must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Exposure to various chemicals. Willing and able to work in a various temperatures and weather conditions Will be exposed to dusty and noisy industrial environment. Will work with various power tools. Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs). Willing and able to work in such environments working in tight or closed-in spaces (like pipe racks). This position primarily involves standing, walking, climbing, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing and pulling (typical weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 20 lbs., approximately), and lifting (minimum weight of 5 lbs. and maximum weight of 50 lbs., approximately). The position requires repetitive finger movements as well as hearing and talking on the phone, two-way radios and in person. Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of team while maintaining a pleasant attitude
