Summary of Position: As a Process Engineer you will focus primarily on the Quality Product, testing of product, Customer Service interaction / complaints & Cost Reduction. You will participate in projects with multiple internal departments including: Corporate Engineering/R&D, Plant Engineering and Production Department to develop process improvements and resolve product/ technical issues.
Ensure all Products produced meets the standards set by the company. Manage the Auditors and the testing / process for critical characteristics. Daily review of ID KPI's and analysis to reduce product variation. Perform technical analyses of manufacturing/process data and apply results to improve processes and meet customer expectations Develop and manage systems / processes to control cost via Ci tools. Continually develop recommendations to enhance manufacturing capabilities/efficiencies through new ideas and/or methods Under the supervision of the Process Engineering Manager, execute projects to fulfill department goals and objectives in the areas of cost reduction, scrap reduction and process and product enhancements. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Ceramic Engineering or related field Experience: Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering in a similar environment. Experience in a similar industry (glass/insulation) highly preferred Lean Certifications and/or Green/Black Belt preferred or achieved. Ability to achieve business benefited improvements through people. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization Organizational skills Time management skills Project management skills Customer service skills Analytical skills Listening skills Leadership skills Computer skills in a MS Windows Environment; proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
