Job Title: Power BI Developer Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills in data visualization, analytics, and Power BI development.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements. Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into data visualizations and analytical solutions. Develop data models, queries, and calculations using Power BI Desktop and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Integrate data from multiple sources and systems into Power BI using data connectors and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Optimize Power BI performance by tuning queries, data models, and report designs. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data accuracy and integrity. Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for Power BI development and usage. Provide training and support to end users on Power BI functionality, best practices, and self-service analytics. Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to continuously improve data visualization and analytics capabilities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. years of experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Developer. Strong technical skills in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M query. Experience with data modeling, data visualization, and dashboard design principles. Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate). Experience with Power BI Premium, Power BI Embedded, and Power BI Service. Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies. Experience with other BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or MicroStrategy. Knowledge of data visualization best practices and principles. Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, or Amazon Redshift.
