Schedule(s)/Hours 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm) Location: Portland, CT Responsibilities Include: Hand belt grinding various airfoil shapes to their finish contour and dimension.
Deburring parts
Finishing operations including sizing and finishing platform radii and platform surfaces, radius chords, polishing operation and breaking sharp edges as required.
Inspection of airfoil contour, location, twist, t-max edges dimensions and platform dimensions as required.
Working on parts that have closer tolerances and more complex shape and qualifies new airfoil setups.
Determines proper belting and polishing procedures for new part number.
Experience: 3+ yrs. experience in Hand finishing/polishing/deburring
Strong understanding of GD&T
Skilled with inspection of close tolerances and complex shaped parts
Experience working with airfoils or aerospace parts is desired Qualifications Include: Must be able to: lift over 30 pounds
Must be able to operate, activate, and use manufacturing/productivity machinery.
Must be accurate, detailed oriented, and quality conscious
