The Policy Analyst would work on issues in international trade, labor standards and sustainability.
The position is responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on trends in supply chain rules and regulations, covering issues related to international trade, labor rights, and sustainability.Research and draft materials for written and verbal policy briefings and updates.Support client advocacy efforts, including help with developing position papers, talking points, legislative proposals; identifying meeting targets, preparing participants and coordinating logistics.Support development and submission of government filings such as requests for public comments and administrative proceedings.Analyze import and export data and using that assessment to further client objectives.Manage and basic technical support of Square Space and Constant Contact platforms and social media (Twitter, LinkedIn).
Essential qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, economics, or related field.Self-starter with ability to work independently to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Strong written and verbal skills with keen attention to detail.Strong diplomacy and interpersonal skills.Understanding of legislative, regulatory and political processes.Willingness to work remotely or in-office as necessary (Washington, D.C.).Ability to travel.Previous full-time work experience a plus.
