The City of Gresham has an exciting opportunity for a Body Worn Camera (BWC) Technician working in the Police Department. This position will manage and facilitate digital video evidence and records received through the Body Worn Camera Program.

In this role, the BWC Technician will w ork in a video management system to monitor and fulfill requests for digital video evidence and records by Gresham Police personnel, outside law enforcement entities, the District Attorney's office and the general public (per ORS). This will involve researching and verification of information; case status research; and redaction of digital video and audio files. Other duties include: Review and process captured video for distribution to the courts, media, and public;  Ensure video release is in accordance with discovery mandates, subpoenas, policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal laws;  Perform quality assurance of redactions; Assist with the management and navigation of a software and/or cloud storage system to locate, share and process video files; Coordinate with Information Technology personnel and vendor for system related and hardware issues; Serve as primary point of contact for all vendor requests. Respond to requests and inquiries from various internal and external customers by phone and email; Collaborate with the Police Services Division on maintenance, warranty, repair, replacement and inventory of body worn camera equipment such as cameras, cables, mounts, battery/controller packs and other related hardware;  Support in developing, reviewing, modifying, implementing, and evaluating program policies and procedures;  Research and develop records, reports, and other program documentation;  Coordinate with Property Control on storage and movement of digital multi-media evidence;  Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: An associate's degree  One (1) to four (4) years of experience working with video content and video management system including researching, verification, and redaction of video/audio files, data collection and analysis, and/or other related BWC program administration. Any combination of three (3) to six (6) years of relevant and related education, training, and/or experience to perform the job is qualifying.  Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel) Experience managing and facilitating digital video evidence and records  Experience in using video editing software  Field of study in criminal justice, digital video media or related course work Performing basic technical troubleshooting of handheld video devices Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a full background check.
