PSS is currently seeking a skilled Primavera P6 Turnaround Scheduler for a 44-week project located in Geismar, Louisiana. Candidate *MUST BE LOCAL* to the area!! As the Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in our turnaround management team. Your expertise in Primavera P6 will be essential for creating and maintaining the master turnaround schedule for the entire project. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, monitoring, and controlling the schedule.
Necessary skills include – 1. Schedule Development: Develop comprehensive turnaround schedule using the Critical Path Method in Primavera P6. Collaborate with project managers and planners to create accurate and detailed schedules. Import activity plans from SAP. Import outside contractor schedules. Import and merge large capital project schedules. 2. Resource-Loaded Schedules: Monitor and update resource-loaded schedules ensuring alignment with project requirements. Evaluate resource allocation, perform critical path analysis, and identify potential bottlenecks. 3. Performance Tracking: Regularly update schedules with the latest performance data. Ensure accuracy by incorporating real-time changes and adjustments. 4. Reporting and Communication: Provide timely updates to the Turnaround Superintendent regarding schedule progress. Generate data for reporting purposes, including performance trends and deviations. 5. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, execution team, and other stakeholders to gather, input and validate schedules. Seek feedback and adjust schedules as needed based on Turnaround dynamics. 6. Flexibility and Adaptability: Being prepared to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. Utilizing new technologies (STO – Shutdown, Turnaround, Outage Manager). 7. Qualifications: Proficiency in creating schedules using Primavera P6. Practical hands-on skills gained through training and experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex schedules. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. ______________________________________ WORK SCHEDULE: Depending on the date of hire, the work schedule will range from -
WEEKS; DAYS; TIMES; HOURS: 20; Monday-Thursday; 5am-3:30pm; 4020; Monday-Friday; 5am-3:30pm; 504; Monday-Sunday; 5am-5pm; 84 PAY RATE: Determined by expertise and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel, by air or auto, may occasionally be required.
