Job summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)Responsible for fulfilling all primary care needs including acute and chronic illness, preventive services, mental health services, and gender-specific primary careCoordinate care across care settings and ensure the management of female patients' primary care needs
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Complete designated Women's Health training and care for a panel of women Veterans providing gender-specific care• Assess patient's physical and psychosocial status, obtain and document comprehensive medical and psychological history and examination• Order appropriate diagnostic tests, interpret results, and formulate clinical impression and plan of care• Refer patients to specialty care consultants• Provide medical advice to patients, families, and community health providers• Document patient care in the electronic health record• Serve as clinical leader for women's health and act as the subject matter expert• Contribute to quality of care standards, efficiency, process improvement, and patient satisfaction• Collaborate with Women's Veteran Program Manager and primary care leadership• Establish priorities and direction for implementing quality improvement on clinical quality measures
Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship• Proficiency in written and spoken English• Complete an online onboarding process• Pass pre-employment physical examination• Participate in seasonal influenza vaccination program• Participate in the COVID-19 vaccination program• Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine• Completion of residency training in an accredited program• Proficiency in spoken and written English
