As a key member of the pharmacy department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective management of pharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the compounding, dispensing, ordering, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals. Manage inventory control procedures and ensure adequate levels of drugs. Direct the work of technical staff, providing guidance and support. Facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems promoting desirable patient outcomes through the use of appropriate, safe, and cost-effective drug therapies. Monitor and provide drug therapies for patients of all age groups. Provide staff development and education to colleagues, nursing staff, and medical personnel. Coordinate Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee activities. Participate in Infection Control and Antibiotic Stewardship initiatives. Review clinical activities, contribute to the quality and effective operation of the department. Assist in training and orienting new employees and pharmacy technicians. Assist with patient charging and inventory control activities under the supervision of the Director. Contribute to Quality Assurance and Drug Use Evaluation activities. Perform other duties related to the practice of pharmacy. Qualifications: Graduated from an accredited College of Pharmacy Program (Doctor of Pharmacy preferred). Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adaptability to a stressful environment. Active Pharmacist licensure in the State of West Virginia.
