Personal Care Aide

Job Summary:Visiting Angels Hygeia, a leading home care agency in Wheeling, West Virginia, is seeking a Part-Time Personal Care Aide to join our team. As a Personal Care Aide, you will provide compassionate and personalized care to our clients in their homes. This individual contributor role involves assisting with activities of daily living, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and companionship. We also provide on-the-job training and ongoing education to ensure our team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.Responsibilities:Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, and toiletingProvide medication reminders and assist with medication managementAssist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and household organizationProvide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clientsMaintain accurate and detailed records of client care and behaviorCommunicate effectively with clients, their families, and members of the care teamAdhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of clientsPromote a positive and respectful work environment at all timesRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience as a personal care aide or caregiver preferredAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningCompassionate, patient, and reliableExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to adapt to changing schedules and client needsMust have driver's license, proof of car insurance and be willing to travel to client's homes within Wheeling, West Virginia and surrounding areasVisiting Angels is America's Choice in Senior Home Care!
