Responsibilities
• Managing complex departmental compensation pools.• Reporting of performance metrics such as panel size and productivity to determine each provider's compensation within the departmental pool.• Auditing provider compensation to ensure compensation is consistent with the provider's employment agreements and company policy.• Calculation of risk-adjusted primary care physician panel counts for HMO and Fee-for-service-equivalent membership.• Effective quality and accuracy checks.• Ensuring proper documentation and authorization for provider compensation amounts and all changes.• Accurate and timely processing of payroll deductions such as pension/401K contributions, garnishments, tax liens, etc.• Support the payroll cycle year-end process, including accurate W-2s.• Provide analysis to medical group senior leadership (CFO, President, CMO, etc.) in support of decision-making and policy development.• Respond to questions and provide analysis for medical group individual physicians and department chairs.• Participate in process improvement projects.• Supports the medical group accounts payable function by processing A/P and check requests in an accurate, timely, and efficient manner.• Acts as a backup for the Administrator of Payroll and Provider Compensation and other team member analysts.
Requirements
• High school diploma.• Minimum three years payroll experience required, including financial analysis and working with system analysts, preferably in the healthcare industry and in a multi-entity environment.• Basic payroll knowledge to include all aspects of compensation, benefits, and taxes.• Knowledge of labor laws affecting payroll, and company policy integration/interpretation with same.• Knowledge and comprehension of general Accounts Payable practices.• Very strong with Microsoft Excel.• Experienced with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Access).• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
