Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless administrative support for our patients. You'll be responsible for coordinating patient care, clarifying treatment plans, handling documentation, scheduling appointments, and providing resources to optimize patient experiences. Collaborating closely with our clinical team, you'll contribute to the continuity of care and uphold our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient intake processes, including registration and insurance verification.
Serve as a resource for insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring accurate documentation for maximum reimbursement.
Provide administrative support, maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing electronic medical records.
Schedule appointments, tests, procedures, and surgeries, while ensuring patients receive necessary preparation instructions.
Optimize patient experience through effective communication and proactive resolution of scheduling conflicts.
Manage medical records, including coordination with hospitals and ancillary services to obtain necessary records.
Work independently under general supervision, ensuring efficient coordination of administrative functions and supporting patient needs assessments.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Three or more years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting.
Proficiency in medical terminology and basic math functions.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with common office and hospital software.
State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
