Responsibilities
• Retrieve purchased parts from inventory or determine availability• Keep accurate records of special-order parts• Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and information• Take phone orders and complete required documentation• Assist outside sales representatives• Process orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up• Receive and ship parts• Verify and handle 'will call' and 'back-order'• Assist service drive employees in selecting parts• Order parts not in stock for repairs• Follow up on special ordered items• Obtain credit authorization• Process sales transactions in accordance with policies• Issue credit for returned parts• Replenish assigned inventory• Maintain inventory and report discrepancies• Advise Parts Manager of inventory discrepancies• Assist in maintaining balanced inventory• Provide pricing recommendations for profit and customer loyalty
Requirements
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions• 2-5 years of experience in automotive parts department• 2-5 years of sales experience• Professional personal appearance• Ability to work well with the public• Ability to pass pre-employment testing
