The Company has five precious metals mines in the Americas generating strong production, sales and cash flow. Coeur Rochester, Inc. (CRI), a subsidiary of Coeur Mining, is seeking an Operational Technologies Technician (OT Technician) for the Coeur Rochester Mine located northeast of Lovelock, Nevada.The OT Technician will be responsible for Coeur Rochester Mine Site and its off-site locations needs as related to the IT Departments responsibilities and duties supporting current and future operational technologies systems, as well as its mine radio system.Operational Technology assets currently consists of Rajant hardware, CAT Terrain systems, DSS Fatigue, Edge system, and Split Engineering system. Mine radio assets consist of handheld radios, mobile equipment radios, repeaters, mobile radio infrastructure, as well as general hardware and software needs required by the radio communications system, and user support.The Operational Technology Technician must be able to design, program, install, optimize, maintain, troubleshoot and repair all operational technology equipment & systems as well as the two-way radio and associated communications equipment & system. This position is based at the Coeur Rochester Mine site.ResponsibilitiesEnsures adherence to company policy while maintaining specific knowledge of IT policies and procedures. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain hardware of operational technology systems.Work directly with contractors to maintain system reliability and assist in remote troubleshooting.Installs, configures, maintains and provides technical support for the IT Department mine radio assets, including but not limited to: handheld radios, mobile equipment radios, repeaters, mobile radio infrastructure, antenna systems, power systems, grounding systems, mobile radio networking, radio subscribers (mobiles and portables), etc.Test, tune and align duplexers, pre-selectors, repeaters, base stations, mobiles and portables.Setup, configure and use test equipment to align, maintain and repair mine radio systems.Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex communications systems. Install, prepare, run, terminate and test coax, heliax, and LMR cable. Install, prepare, run, terminate and test network cabling.Work directly with management and customers to determine urgency, deadlines and timelines.Work with Departments to develop and maintain system SOPs.Conducts user training as required. Provides technical support to employees directly and remotely throughout the entire mine site.Attend tickets related to operational technology and mine radio system issues (Incidents and Service Requests).Assists with problems with IT Infrastructure.Occasionally manage technical projects with minimal assistance.Maintains complete documentation on changes, additions, and removal/recycling of assets.Maintains working knowledge of current systems and tools used by the company and provides reports using these in a timely fashion.Works with the Environmental Dept to ensure E-Waste is processed properly.Assists other members of the IT department in their duties as prescribed by management and maintains flexible on-call weekend rotation status.Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.Maintain current understanding of new and upcoming business related technology and continually improves personal and professional systems/networking knowledge through technical articles, professional forums, and online courses when appropriate.Work in compliance with safety and environmental standards.EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent.Associate's degree (AS/AA) or technical training in the areas of electronics, computers, networking, RF or equivalent work experience (OJT).ExperienceExperience with operational technology systems, is preferredExperience in the field of two-way mine radio communications, is preferred.Experience or knowledge of both AC and DC electrical systems, is desired.Knowledge of hardware installation on heavy mining equipment.Knowledge of frequency utilization, battery back-up systems, base stations, repeaters, multicouplers, duplexers, radio template development, flash upgrading, and CPS programming.Experience with the following systems desired:Ubiquiti & Rajant Wireless SystemsDSS Fatigue, Minestar Edge, Terrain for Drilling, Terrain for Dozers, Split Engineering and POE cameras.Motorola two way radio systems, specifically MOTOTRBO Digital Radio SystemBasic Computer and Networking skills.Ability to carry out assigned tasks to the required standards with minimal supervision.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees, both written and orally.Ability to work independently as well as within a team.Ability to troubleshoot network, hardware, and communication issues.Ability to lift and move 50 lbs., work outside in all kinds of weather, in confined spaces, and at all heights.Ability to safely load and operate vehicles in a variety of conditions including but not limited to; heavy rain, snow, wind and varying underground conditions.This position will be a 40-hour work schedule and is primarily based at the Coeur Rochester Mine Site.
