Operating Room Registered Nurse

Pulse Clinical Alliance is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Tahlequah, OK. Job Details: Contract: 12 weeks Pay Rate: $55/hr for locals OR $2,350/week for travelers Shift:  Days - 36-40hrs/week - 8s, 10, or 12s available dependent on unit available - On call 6 days a month, on call 1 weekend per month Experience: 2+ years of experience  Requirements: OK RN License BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS 2 supervisor references from within the last year Skills checklist Job Description: Also called perioperative nurses, operating room nurses are registered nurses who provide care for patients before, during, and after surgeries. They care for surgical patients outside of sterile operating rooms and assist with surgical instruments and equipment inside operating suites. They may work at hospitals or other medical facilities.
Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns Gather all supplies needed for the operation Assume responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilized Position and prepare patient on operating table Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies Evaluate patient in postoperative phases Adhere to safety standards and precautions Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures Pulse Clinical Alliance is seeking an experienced candidate for this travel or contract opportunity.
