Job Description:
Join our team, a leading provider of online education services to private schools and families. We're dedicated to empowering schools to transition smoothly to online platforms while ensuring the highest quality of education for students worldwide. As a part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education and supporting students' individual needs.
Position Summary:
We're currently seeking enthusiastic educators to fill upcoming Physics teaching positions on a part-time basis. This role requires availability during daytime hours from Monday to Friday.
You'll be a highly qualified and experienced professional responsible for delivering engaging course content in an online setting. You'll provide personalized instruction, support, and guidance to students, fostering a conducive learning environment. Monitoring student progress and providing timely interventions will be key aspects of your role.
Essential Responsibilities:
Deliver live, synchronous instruction and provide asynchronous student support.
Collaborate closely with a diverse range of domestic and international students.
Prepare thoroughly for live instruction, ensuring technology readiness and effective instructional planning.
Adhere to communication protocols and policies for student success.
Grade student work promptly and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with Mentor Teachers and Academic Managers within your department.
Adhere to Scholars' policies and state principles of professional conduct.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
State teaching certification (any state) and/or relevant subject area credential preferred.
Minimum one year of online teaching experience preferred.
For those teaching Catholic religion classes:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Theology from a Catholic University required.
Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred.
Minimum two years of relevant teaching experience in a Catholic school preferred.
Catechist Certification preferred.
Compensation:
Approximately $20 per hour.
Technical Requirements:
PC (Windows 10, 11) or Mac (OS 10.7.5+).
Firefox (version 74+).
High-speed internet (5Mb+).
Some courses may require Adobe Flash and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
