Network Engineer - DNS/DHCP Raleigh, NC- Will consider alternate locations based on qualifications. Navitas Business Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer- DNS/DHCP professional to provide service to our Federal Client in the Raleigh NC area but we will consider alternate locations based on qualifications. Responsibilities: Configure, administer, document DNS multi-view configuration, DHCP services High level troubleshooting of network, protocols, and application issues IP mgmt, DNS, DHCP administration API scripting in python. Linux administration to include scripting and file system management Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases. Required Skills: IP Mgmt., DNS, DHCP configuration, scripting of API calls. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, UDP/IP, DNS, DHCP Knowledge of TCP, understanding network, protocol and application traffic flows Ability to troubleshoot basic network issues including IPv6. Network knowledge Network design and implementation Network troubleshooting Tracking budget expenses Project management Problem solving and analytical skills Time-management skills Strong documentation skills LAN knowledge Network hardware configuration Network performance tuning Ability to maintain effective communication and working relationships with co-workers Experience with APIs, scripting, and Splunk data flows. Preferred Perl, python and JavaScript.
