Mine Foreman - Anthracite Surface Mine

Foreman for an anthracite surface mine.The mine foreman will oversee daily operations in an open pit mine and ensures operations are carried out as specified by the Mine Superintendent by communicating directly with mine personnel. Also, ensuring mining equipment is utilized efficiently.Responsibilities will also include:· Doing daily jobsite safety inspections· Government regulatory compliance· Enforcing site safety, company safety practices and policies.· Ordering parts and consumables· Collecting and reviewing timecards· Reporting daily production information· Overseeing work of outside venders.Preferred Minimum Qualifications:· Leadership experience in mining, quarry or heavy construction.· 2 years overall experience in mining, quarry or heavy construction· Understand mine planning· Ability to read and interpret mine plan maps
