The Wesleyan is hiring an LVN as a Memory Care and Staffing Coordinator to work within our Memory Care and Assisted Living Community. A current, active, unencumbered license as a LVN in the state of Texas is required for this position along with experience working with Alzheimer and dementia residents/patients, a passion for exquisite quality of care, and strong organizational skills will be essential to the success of this position. Essential Functions:
* Supervise and direct resident care team members in the Memory Care program.
* Administer or supervise the preparation and administration of prescribed medications.
* Supervise the preparation of incident and accident reports.
* Provide nursing care to residents as needed.
* Assist nurse aides, caregivers, and other nursing care teams as needed.
* Obtain daily team members staffing requests, review for accommodation and fill shifts efficiently as need.
* Notify team members of call-ins and ensure coverage for all shifts.
* Maintain accurate attendance records and notify management of attendance-related issues.
* Participate in interviewing, selecting, and training clinical team members.
* Other duties as assigned by the program Administrator and/or the Wellness Director.
Qualifications:
* Must have a current, active, unencumbered LVN license in the state of Texas
* Experience working with Alzheimer/dementia residents or patients.
* Prior memory care program experience as an LVN or Memory Care Coordinator preferred.
* Experience in scheduling of clinical staff and managing staff schedules and staff rotations.
* Must possess leadership ability and the ability to organize, plan and direct nursing service.
* Proficient with computers and computer applications (Outlook, Microsoft Office, UKG Ready, PCC, etc.).
* A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.
* A passion for working within a senior living, memory care program or assisted living community is a plus.
