Currently, we're on the lookout for a Coding Educator to join our team. Reporting to the Manager, Coding Quality, the Coding Educator plays a pivotal role in crafting and delivering educational materials and sessions to various stakeholders, including Providers, Staff, Leadership, Coders, Billers, and Compliance Personnel. Collaboration with Coding, Denial, and Quality Departments is central to this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide proactive guidance on Evaluation and Management guidelines, new service line education, CPT® coding changes, HCC documentation, and other relevant physician coding education and compliance projects.
Educate stakeholders on proper coding and documentation practices, both prospectively and retrospectively.
Demonstrate expertise in complex coding, reimbursement, and auditing principles within physician practices and clinic settings.
Stay abreast of current coding regulations, professional standards, and company policies, effectively applying this knowledge.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and department teams.
Develop tailored education materials and support them with authoritative sources.
Maintain regular communications with stakeholders via various platforms, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.

Maintain regular attendance and perform other essential duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in physician practice setting and professional coding.
Minimum 1 year of experience in coding audit or quality review work.
Proficiency in multiple computer programs.
Ability to create and follow written procedures.
Excellent written communication and customer service skills.
Technical proficiency with computers and medical software systems.
Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
