RN is required to float within the Norton system within their scope of practice if needed RN Summary Work Experience (Basic): 2 years of acute care RN experience Work Experience (Desired): None Education (Required): Diploma or Associate Education (Desired): Certification (Required): Registered Nurse Certification (Desired): Facility: Norton Women's and Children's Unit Name/Type of unit: 5 West Orthopedic & Spine Unit- adult unit Selling points for the unit: Ortho/spine APRN is available on the unit daily for questions, fully staffed ANM team, self scheduling opportunities # beds/procedures: 32 beds Patient ratio: 6:1 Does RN need to know how to read tele strips? Yes Top diagnosis/procedures: Orthopedic and spine procedures and med/surg level patients Common equipment used: walker, gait belt, ambulation aides Does RN need to be able to titrate medication?
