Mechanical Sales Support Engineer Career Opportunity!
The Sales Support Engineer is primarily responsible for providing internal sales support for the company's air-cooled heat exchanger. Sales Support consists of, but not limited to, fielding requests for quotations (RFQ's), technical evaluation of RFQ's, thermal and mechanical designs, submittal of detailed technical/commercial proposals to customers, technical consultations, working with Business Development Managers (BDM's) negotiating contracts with clients, assisting with the project execution of contracts, developing relationships with customers, and advancement of sales tools including product configurations.
What Your Day-to-Day Look Like? Evaluation of incoming inquiries and assessments of customer requirements. Accurate thermal analysis and mechanical design execution! Provide interpretation and clarification on thermal and mechanical analysis. Ability to review and address basic and complex customer specifications. Formulate a technical and commercial proposal package in alignment with customer specifications, industry standards, and company standards. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of heat transfer solutions . Evaluate heat exchanger designs and heat transfer surface concepts using known analytical and experimental methods. Collaborate with appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SME) to solve engineering and design scenarios and support on heat transfer engineering efforts. Partner with customers and internal functional groups on safety integration. Coordinate legal review of contracts with BDM and legal counsel. Detailed review of contract commercial, freight, and payment information to ensure all deliverables are attainable. Other duties as assigned. What Your Professional Experience Should Look Like? 3-5 years of industry experience preferred! Bachelors in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field. 2 years of experience with thermal design, rating, and performance analysis preferred! 2 years' experience in the Oil and Natural Gas Industry preferred! 2 years continuous improvement experience preferred! Knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1, TEMA, and API 661 Standards preferred. Exceptional and seasoned customer service experience a must! Ideal Experience: 6+ years' experience in industry. 3+ years' experience with thermal rating. 3+ years continuous improvement experience. 3+ years Oil and Gas experience. Extensive knowledge of air-cooled heat exchangers! Experience using HTRI, HTFS, or any other qualified Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger ratings program. This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Salary is between $90,000 and $105,000 per year. * * Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
